Wilde Pedique Toenail Correction

Our feet endure a huge amount of stress and abuse as we go about our daily lives. Walking in ill-fitting shoes, socks and hosiery, playing sports or even running can all affect our feet, including our toenails. Many of us at some point will suffer nail damage, thickening or even fungal nail disease.

With our damp climate and wearing enclosed footwear, it’s thought that 10% of the UK population may have infected toenails. It’s a statistic that rises with factors like diabetes, compromised immune systems and age. For people aged over 70, the percentage is thought to double.

But there is good news for those suffering from damaged, discoloured and unhealthy nails – an effective, pain-free, cosmetic nail reconstruction treatment that we offer at Beauchamp, called Wilde Pedique.

What is Wilde Pedique?

Wilde Pedique is a hypoallergenic, breathable, anti-microbial, polymer gel treatment system for fungal or traumatised toenails. Fully compliant with the latest EU legislation, which has banned the use of Trimethylbenzoyl Diphenylphosphine Oxide (TPO), and recommended by the Institute of Podiatrists, Wilde Pedique can only be applied by a professional foot health practitioner and can be safely used alongside other GP or podiatry treatments.

LCN, the makers behind Wilde Pedique are recognised and highly regarded in the cosmetic industry for their commitment to developing cruelty-free products and for not using potentially harmful chemicals such as TPO that may act as irritants.

How does it work?

Once the nails are prepared, the specially formulated gel resin is carefully applied and hardened under LED light. Instantly helping to rebuild and restore the visual appearance of fungal or damaged toenails, it’s designed to bend and flex naturally, adjusting to the movement of the underlying nail and the everyday movement of your feet. Both long-lasting and durable, it can help to hide blemishes, deformations and discoloured nails.

Suitable for diabetics and long-term use, the treatment lasts 4-6 weeks, by which time the nails would need to be cut and filed as the reconstruction grows out with your nail whilst gently protecting it.

Will Wilde Pedique be suitable for you?

At our Knightsbridge clinic, founding partner and qualified podiatrist Erika Gibbins has over 10 years’ experience in cosmetic nail reconstruction.

As Wilde Pedique is a specialist treatment that is uniquely tailored to your specific toenail problems, she asks for photos so that she can offer a free online consultation and a quote before booking an appointment, as in some cases the nails would need a pre-application treatment.

Things to consider:

  • Photos will need to be provided before any appointment is booked to confirm if the procedure would be suitable for you.

Please send your photos with your contact details to info@beauchampfootcare.com

  • Wilde Pedique gel is not like acrylic builder gel or nail polish. If you are wearing these they will need to be removed at least 48 hours before your reconstruction treatment can begin.
  • Do not bathe, shower, swim or apply any creams or oils to the nail 12 hours prior to your appointment.
  • You will need to have a small amount of nail to reconstruct on. If you have no nail it will not adhere, but a prosthetic nail can be made.

Give your toes a new lease of life with Wilde Pedique cosmetic toenail correction treatment. Prices start at £95 for one nail.
